Large, precision engineered investment castings are now a reality at Tech Cast…
Investment casting is one of the oldest manufacturing processes know to man. This manufacturing process has been in existence since 4000 B.C. and has been used craft detailed objects ranging from pre-Columbian art to critical military components, to modern day dental crowns and inlays. Investment casting is primarily used to produce complex parts from wide range of alloys, and is used to produce castings for the off shore oil industry, pump and valve markets, military/defense application, sporting goods, etc..
However, the disadvantage for many investment casting foundries is the size of their manufacturing equipment, and the constraints this places on the overall size of castings that can be manufactured. Traditionally, large cast components are made using sand casting technology.
Tech Cast is capable of manufacturing complex, investment casting components up to 300 lbs, with the following size constraints.
